What is
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is the introduction of a chemical or physical agent
into a vein to cause the inside of the vein to be destroyed and allow
complete obliteration of the opening. Traditionally 85% - 90% of
all vessels can be treated successfully with Sclerotherapy.
As with most medical procedures, treatment is easiest and more successful
the earlier it is instituted.
While most varicocities occur after pregnancy, the underlying heredity
causes are known to surface from the teens to the years of maturity.
No one needs to suffer the indignities of disfiguring veins anymore.
Treatment is available, affordable, and accessible to all who desire
it.
ScleroPLUS™ Laser
Treatment
What conditions are treated with the
laser?
The laser treats telangiectasia (or "spider veins"),
usually less than 1 millimeter and commonly seen on the legs
or face. Some people have a needle “phobia”. By using
the laser to heat spider veins you can avoid injections. There
are some restrictions with the laser. We cannot treat someone
with a tan, or certain skin types.
The majority of patients seeking treatment for removal of leg
veins are for cosmetic reasons. Most are uncomfortable with the
appearance of these veins during the warmer months when shorts
and skirts are worn.
